Using natural light in buildings can save energy, but the design of lighting systems is crucial. A study compared different lighting fixtures in an office in Florianopolis, Brazil. By analyzing light distribution and energy consumption, they found that certain fixtures can save up to 32% of energy compared to others. This research aims to improve the design of electric lighting systems and increase knowledge about the design process.
