A survey was done at Reese Air Force Base in Texas to check the wastewater and hazardous waste. They looked at the water leaving the oil-water separator, going into the sewage treatment plant, and in different parts of the sewer system. They also checked for hazardous waste at 28 locations. They found dangerous pollutants in the sewer system and surface impoundments. Some industrial discharges still have harmful substances. The pollutants in the sewage treatment plant and sewage lake were not too bad. They might need to clean the water more if they can't stop the hazardous stuff from getting in.
