The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen affected the yield of early potatoes. They tested ten different nitrogen doses on potato plants over two years. The highest potato yield was seen with 240 kg of nitrogen per hectare. However, using more than 240 kg of nitrogen actually decreased the yield. The best quality potatoes were produced with 200 kg of nitrogen per hectare, with a marketable yield of 97.41%. After this point, the quality of the potatoes started to decline.
