The study looked at different ways to improve maize crop yield in Pakistan without causing environmental harm from excessive fertilizer use. They tested different combinations of biochar, farm yard manure, and mineral nitrogen on maize growth. The results showed that using biochar with mineral nitrogen led to taller plants, more grains per ear, and higher grain yield. This suggests that adding biochar at a certain rate along with mineral nitrogen can help increase maize productivity.
