In Africa, many countries are focusing on farming more efficiently, especially by using more fertilizer. In this study, the researchers looked at 40 African countries to see how they are intensifying agriculture, especially by using more land for farming and increasing crop growth. They found that about half of the countries are using more land and cropping more often to boost their agricultural production. This method is helping countries with lower population densities improve their farming practices and increase their crop yields.
