Salinity and Soil Texture Impact Water Flow in Different Landscapes
The researchers studied how different levels of salt and sodium affect how easily water moves through different types of soil. They found that as the sodium levels increased, the soil's ability to let water pass through decreased. However, when salt levels went up, the soil's water conductivity improved. The study showed that the relationship between salt, sodium, and soil texture can explain a large portion of the changes in water conductivity in sandy loam, loamy, and clayey soils.
