A study in Andhra Pradesh compared different rice-based crop sequences and found that rice-sunflower system gave the highest rice equivalent yield, production efficiency, net return, and benefit-cost ratio. Rice-bengal gram also performed well. The land-use efficiency of these systems ranged from 61-71%. The rice-sunflower system was the most stable, followed by rice-bengal gram.
