The researchers developed a way to find the best strategy for players in games where they don't have all the same information. This new strategy, called a self-confirming equilibrium, makes sure each player is making the best move based on what they know, and that their beliefs are correct. They created algorithms to calculate this equilibrium for games with two players, looked at how hard it is to do this, and tested how well their algorithms work.
