Soybean farming in Maharashtra proves economically viable with high returns.
The study looked at soybean farming in western Maharashtra. They found that larger farms had higher productivity than smaller ones. The cost of farming per hectare was Rs 10958. The farmers made Rs 22200 in gross returns and Rs 11242 in net returns. The input-output ratio was 1:1.97, showing that soybean farming is profitable.
