Peer HACCP training key to maintaining food safety knowledge accuracy.
HACCP training is crucial for food safety, but its effectiveness over time is not well understood. This study found that being actively involved in HACCP activities helps maintain accurate knowledge. Peer training is beneficial regardless of industry experience. Employees should receive refresher HACCP training every three years to keep knowledge up-to-date. Standardized monitoring of HACCP trainers and trainees is needed for consistent food safety practices.
