The article discusses a new method for collecting and organizing data on software development costs, specifically for aerospace projects. By defining 47 cost factors across 8 categories, the researchers aim to improve cost estimation accuracy. The developed software-cost database allows for better management of project costs by analyzing the impact of these factors. This system has already been implemented in some projects, showing promise for more reliable cost estimation and control in the future.
