The study evaluated the instream flow in the Seomjingang River watershed by looking at water quantity, quality, and the aquatic ecosystem. They used data from a station at the lowest point of the river with long-term observations. After reviewing 20 years of data, they compared the instream flow achievement with other river systems and re-estimated the flow for 11 key stations. The study predicted the water needed to make up for flow deficits during dry seasons, providing valuable information for water management in the area.
