The article analyzes trade cooperation between the Central region of China and ASEAN countries. By using various indexes and a gravity model of international trade, the study found that trade relations between the Central region and ASEAN are strengthening. The economic development level positively impacts export trade, while distance poses a challenge. There is significant trade potential with Indonesia and the Philippines, with opportunities for growth in Thailand. However, trade prospects with Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam are limited, requiring new strategies for further cooperation.
