Personality traits predict social well-being with social support as key factor.
The Big Five theory of personality traits is widely accepted for explaining individual differences in personality. This study looked at how the Big Five traits relate to recent social contexts and found that extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness are linked to social well-being. Social support plays a role in these relationships. Overall, the Big Five theory is considered a valuable tool for understanding personality traits.
