Unlocking Indonesia's Wave Power Potential: Alindau Beach Leads Energy Revolution
The study looked at using ocean waves to generate electricity in Central Sulawesi West Sea. They used a technology called Oscillating Water Column (OWC) to capture wave energy and convert it into power. By analyzing wave data for five years, they found that the maximum wave height in the region was 0.20 meters. The estimated power generated from this method was found to be 11.97% efficient. The study identified Alindau beach as a promising location for developing wave energy.
