Farm machinery for persimmon fruit cultivation in a Japanese mountainous area was tested to see if it could save time and physical effort for farmers. Smart machines like remote-control weeders and sprayers were used, and they cut down on weeding, spraying, and harvesting times. The total time spent on persimmon cultivation was reduced by 8%. The quality of the fruit also improved with the use of a speed sprayer. Power assist suits didn't save time but did make the work easier on the body. Overall, using these machines can make persimmon farming more efficient and less physically demanding for farmers, but they can be expensive to buy.
