Legal Gaps in Cryptocurrency Use Hinder Economy Digitalization in Russia
The article discusses the legal status of electronic money in Russia and the challenges in regulating alternative currencies in the digital economy. It examines the current legal framework, trends in financial services, and the concept of cryptocurrency. Russian legislation does not yet define "cryptocurrency" or "virtual currency", but has introduced the concept of "digital money" and "digital rights". However, legal gaps in using cryptocurrency hinder the digitalization of the economy and limit judicial protection for parties involved.
