Government Projects Evaluated Objectively, Improving Public Spending Decisions
The article suggests using a modified version of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) for evaluating government projects. By applying absolute rankings instead of a 9-point scale, AHP can help make more analytical and rational decisions. This approach can be useful in assessing local government financial projects and using both quantitative and qualitative indicators. AHP allows for comparing multiple alternatives without the constraint of consistency ratios, enabling prioritization of various government projects effectively.
