Optimizing Corn Silage Production: Lower Costs, Higher Efficiency in Turkey.
The study looked at the costs and labor needed for making corn silage in Samsun, Turkey. They found that variable costs were 27.59% of total costs, with fertilization being the biggest expense. Family labor made up 24.53% of fixed costs. Harvesting required the most labor, while transportation was the most efficient task. Good planning with machinery can lower costs and make production more profitable.
