Sustainable Housing Revolution: Cutting-Edge Techniques Deliver Affordable, Eco-Friendly Homes for All
Researchers at the Technical University of Munich collaborated with an engineering firm to explore simple, energy-efficient construction techniques for creating a pleasant indoor climate. They developed plans for three prototype buildings made of solid wood, masonry, and lightweight concrete. By implementing these plans, they identified six core principles of simple construction. The study analyzed the construction of these buildings and found that monolithic structures in wood, lightweight concrete, and brick can effectively achieve energy efficiency and comfort in indoor spaces.
