Unveiling Energy Waste: How Consumer Behavior Impacts Energy Efficiency in Homes
Energy wastage in residential buildings is a growing issue in developing countries. By connecting energy consumption with the cost of energy, consumers can become more aware of their usage. A study conducted in two communities found that while many participants lacked energy-efficient appliances, they still exhibited some energy-saving behaviors. The norms and practices of consumers influenced their energy usage. This research aims to create a model that links consumer behavior to energy consumption to improve energy efficiency in residential buildings.
