Financial health of major companies during pandemic revealed: mixed results.
The study looked at how well different companies in Indonesia performed financially during the COVID-19 pandemic. They analyzed data from consumer goods, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications companies in 2020. The researchers used various financial ratios to measure liquidity, solvency, profitability, and activity. The findings showed that some companies had good liquidity and solvency, but their activity and profitability were not as efficient. For example, PT. Indofood CBP had good solvency but less efficient activity and profitability. PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia had poor liquidity but decent solvency, while PT. Kalbe Farma Tbk had good liquidity and solvency but inefficient activity and profitability.
