Intercropping soybean with maize boosts yield and quality, revolutionizing farming practices.
A study looked at how adding different amounts of nitrogen to soybean and maize crops affected the yield and quality of maize. They found that adding nitrogen increased the number of cobs, length of cobs, number of grains per cob, weight of grains, and overall yield of maize. The best results were seen with 100 kg of nitrogen per hectare in the soybean and maize system. This led to the highest grain yield and protein content in the maize. Intercropping soybean with maize at the right nitrogen level can improve maize yield and quality.
