Flue Gas Recirculation Boosts CO2 Concentration and Reduces NOX Emissions
Flue gas recirculation in the silicon process can increase CO2 levels in emissions and reduce NOX. A pilot furnace was modified to test different FGR ratios and flow rates, using industrial materials. Results showed CO2 concentrations over 20%, demonstrating successful FGR. NOX emissions were lower during stable tapping cycles.
