Excessive cracking in concrete walls due to temperature and shrinkage is a common issue in construction. To prevent this, reinforcement is added to control crack patterns and widths. A study tested four walls to understand how cracks develop and compared the strain to concrete's capacity to resist tension. The research aimed to improve the design of structures like retaining walls and water tanks to reduce early cracking.
