Foreign investors boost African banks, driving growth and innovation.
Foreign institutional investors positively impact the performance of banks in Tunisia. By analyzing data from 2005 to 2020, it was found that banks with more foreign ownership perform better in terms of profitability and efficiency. These investors help improve corporate governance, introduce new technologies, and enhance product development in the banking sector. This study suggests that attracting foreign institutional investors can benefit emerging economies like Tunisia by boosting bank performance.
