Complex supply chains due to globalization require organizations to manage information flows effectively to reduce supply chain risk. A conceptual framework was developed to help decision makers select risk mitigation strategies, such as redundancy and flexibility, by managing external and internal information flows. The goal is to enhance visibility in supply chains and meet customer service demands while managing suppliers with diverse requirements.
