Euploid Embryos Defy Age: Blastocyst Quality No Longer Limits IVF Success
The quality of a blastocyst does not affect the chance of a live birth in women over 30 years old during frozen embryo transfer. This was found after analyzing data from 232 cycles at an IVF center. In women under 30, good quality blastocysts had higher live birth rates compared to average or poor quality ones. However, in older women, blastocyst quality did not impact live birth rates. This suggests that even poor-quality blastocysts can result in successful pregnancies in older women.
