Soil stability predictions vary by location, impacting erosion control strategies.
The researchers wanted to see if they could predict soil stability in different areas by looking at soil and terrain properties. They measured things like organic carbon, iron content, and slope, and found that different factors affected soil stability in different areas. In some soils, organic carbon was important, while in others, iron content or bulk density played a bigger role. Overall, they found that the best predictions were for the Leptosol area, followed by the Luvisol and Cambisol areas.
