Satellite data predicts 75% forest loss by 2030 due to human activities
Humans are causing deforestation in forests, leading to biodiversity loss and environmental issues. A model using satellite data and artificial neural networks can predict deforestation. The research focused on the vandalur forest area and found that 50% of the land cover deteriorated from 2008 to 2021. By 2030, it is predicted that 75% of the land cover will be damaged by construction and other activities.
