Carbon Markets and Climate Finance Could Reshape Asia-Pacific's Post-COVID Recovery
This article discusses using money and trading systems to help Asian-Pacific countries reach climate change goals following the UN agreements. These strategies, called climate finance and carbon markets, can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions in industries and governments. They involve funding projects that slow down climate change and allowing the buying and selling of pollution limits. By looking at examples of how carbon markets have been used in different sectors, this article suggests that building more climate finance systems can benefit countries and companies, providing suggestions for how they can move forward.
