The researchers used a vegetation index called NDVI to see how healthy the plants were in the area. They also used another index called SVI to compare the current vegetation health to the average. The study found that the worst drought in Nan province happened in 2018, followed by 2016 and 2020. This information can help agencies prepare for droughts in the future.
