New fenugreek plant type boosts yield and profits in India.
A new type of fenugreek plant called Rmt-305 was studied to see how it grows with different crop setups, chemicals, and sulfur fertilization. Rmt-305 produced more pods, longer pods, and more seeds per pod, resulting in higher grain yield and profits compared to another type of plant. Closer crop spacing and certain chemicals and sulfur fertilization also increased yield and profits. Overall, Rmt-305, closer crop spacing of 20 cm x 15 cm, and the use of certain chemicals and sulfur fertilization led to the best results in terms of yield and profits for fenugreek farming.
