Heavy metals in onions pose minimal health risk, study finds.
The study looked at the risk of heavy metals in onions on human health in Iran. They tested 22 onion samples from different provinces and found that all samples contained heavy metals like cadmium and lead. Some samples had higher levels than recommended, but overall, the risk of health issues from consuming these metals in onions was low. It's suggested to investigate where these metals are coming from to prevent further contamination.
