Private Natura 2000 site in Italy mapped for sustainable ecosystem management.
The Stellantis–La Mandria site in Italy, part of the Natura 2000 network, is being studied to improve its management and conservation. By involving experts and professionals, the research aims to identify areas with ecosystem services and potential for future use. A SWOT analysis was conducted to assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, while participatory mapping helped identify areas with different ecological values. The study found that the site has opportunities for conservation and future use, but also faces threats that need to be addressed. The results will guide the owners in managing the site more effectively and sustainably.
