Groundwater near Bhalswa Lake in Delhi heavily polluted, unsafe for consumption.
Groundwater near Bhalswa Lake in North West Delhi, India was analyzed for its quality using various parameters like pH, total dissolved solids, alkalinity, chloride, hardness, sulphate, and nitrate. The study found that the groundwater in this area is heavily polluted and not safe for drinking or household use due to high levels of chemical contaminants. The Water Quality Index showed that the groundwater around Bhalswa Lake is extremely polluted at most sampling sites.
