Renewable energy policies boost green innovation, but benefits vary across countries
The study looked at how renewable energy policies affect green innovation in different countries. They used data from 102 countries between 1990 and 2018. The researchers found that countries with stronger green innovation capacity benefit more from renewable energy policies. However, in countries with lower innovation levels, these policies may not have as much impact. Geothermal energy innovation was affected the least by renewable policies compared to other renewable energies. Overall, the study suggests that renewable energy policies can help promote green innovation, providing guidance for governments looking to implement such policies.
