Boosting Nitrogen Levels Leads to Record Maize Yields and Growth
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen affect the growth and yield of spring maize. They used three levels of nitrogen: low, medium, and high. The highest nitrogen level resulted in the best plant growth and highest yield. Plants treated with the highest nitrogen level were tallest, had the most leaves, and accumulated the most dry weight. They also produced the most grain, had the highest shelling percentage, and yielded the most stover. In conclusion, using the highest nitrogen level of 160 kg N/ha led to the best results in terms of plant growth and yield for spring maize.
