In November 2021, Honduras's opposition parties won against the ruling party, despite facing challenges like poverty and a strong government. They achieved this by building a strong party, participating in elections consistently, and working together. Surprisingly, the lack of international support actually helped them. The new leader, Xiomara Castro, has the opportunity to bring democracy back, and the strategies used by the opposition in Honduras can be useful for other opposition groups around the world.
