Mini-Hydro Power Plants in Russia Achieve Record Efficiency Levels
There are 85 small hydroelectric power plants in Russia with a total capacity of 105.57 MW, generating about 1 billion kWh of electricity annually. These plants can be up to 90% efficient due to their operating mode and turbine design. The study looked at the park of hydraulic turbines, their types, power, and manufacturers to understand why these plants are so efficient.
