Boosting reflection before nudging boosts intentions for climate-friendly diets!
The study compared different ways to encourage people to make climate-friendly food choices. They tested nudges, reflective strategies like thinking about their choices, and a combination of both. The results showed that all methods increased intentions for eco-friendly diets, but adding reflection to nudges made the effects stronger. There were no negative effects on participants' donations to charities. This suggests that encouraging people to think before nudging them can help promote environmentally conscious behavior.
