Boosting Job Fit and Well-Being Leads to Stronger Organizational Commitment
The study looked at how support from the organization, feeling good mentally, and fitting well with the job affect how committed employees are in automotive companies. They used surveys from 12 Indonesian automotive companies and analyzed the data using a special computer program. The results showed that when employees help out beyond their job duties, they are more committed to the organization. Feeling supported by the organization and fitting well with the job also increase commitment. Feeling good mentally has a positive impact on helping out at work, which in turn increases commitment. However, feeling good mentally has a negative impact on commitment directly.
