The study compared two methods, Partial Least Square (PLS) and Principal Component Regression (PCR), to see which one is better at predicting factors that affect the Human Development Index (HDI) of North Sumatra Province in 2019. The results showed that PLS performed better than PCR in terms of accuracy and error.
