The article discusses the confusion in Ukrainian legislation regarding the concepts of "biosphere nature reserve" and "biosphere reserve." Currently, there are 9 biosphere reserves in Ukraine, but there is no clear distinction between the two terms. Some reserves do not have the correct status, leading to uncertainty. The study suggests including adjacent territories in reserves to monitor human impact on the environment. It also highlights the need for changes in the legislation to accurately reflect the situation.
