Increasing microinsurance awareness boosts microfinance entrepreneurs' financial security in Yemen.
The study looked at how knowing about microinsurance affects whether microfinance entrepreneurs in Yemen want to buy it. They surveyed 201 entrepreneurs who got loans from Yemen’s National Microfinance Foundation. They used PLS-SEM and regression analysis to test their ideas. The results showed that when entrepreneurs know about microinsurance, they are more likely to want to buy it. In fact, 17% of the entrepreneurs said they would buy microinsurance because they knew about it. The study suggests that teaching entrepreneurs more about microinsurance could help them make better decisions. The researchers think future studies should include more microfinance organizations and look at how different institutions in Yemen affect people's decisions about microinsurance.
