Spacing and Biofertilizer Boost Black Gram Yield and Profits Dramatically
The study looked at how different spacing and biofertilizers affect the growth and yield of black gram plants. They tested three spacing levels and two types of biofertilizers. The results showed that using a spacing of 30 x 10 cm with Rhizobium and PSB biofertilizers led to the highest plant height, number of branches, nodules, pods, seeds per pod, test weight, grain yield, stover yield, and plant dry weight. This spacing also resulted in the highest net returns and benefit-cost ratio. Therefore, the best combination for producing more grains and economic benefits was found to be 30 x 10 cm spacing with Rhizobium and PSB biofertilizers.
