Sudanese farmers face uncertain futures as runoff estimation method fails
The NRCS-CN method was used to estimate runoff in five catchments in Sudan, but the results showed that the method was not effective. Different methods were used to calculate CN values, but all resulted in negative Nash–Sutcliffe efficiency values, indicating poor fit between observed and estimated runoff. This suggests that the NRCS-CN method may not be suitable for calculating runoff in the study areas.
