Phosphorus and zinc application can improve the growth and yield of fenugreek plants. Applying 40 kg of P 2 O 5 /ha and 5.0 kg of Zn/ha showed the best results. The residual effect of these nutrients also benefited the growth of succeeding pearl millet crops. Residual effect of 40 kg P 2 O 5 /ha increased effective tillers in pearl millet, while 5.0 kg Zn/ha improved seed yield. Foliar applications of zinc were not as effective as basal application. Overall, proper nutrient management can enhance the yield of both fenugreek and pearl millet crops in irrigated conditions.
