The researchers found that silt-sized specimens were successfully grouted for the first time, even though the particle size distribution of completely weathered granite (CWG) contains mostly sand and gravel particles, with silt size ranging from 3% to over 40%. This challenges the common belief that CWG cannot be compared to silt size, as some laboratory specimens were 100% silt size.
