The problem of stimulating population growth is urgent in the Soviet Union due to declining growth rates. The study examines trends in population growth and explores the need to raise the birth rate. It also considers expanding reproduction in the economy to increase labor productivity without hiring more workers. The question of whether those working at home can be employed in social production is also raised.
